Abstract

This is an attempt to uncover the impact of ecological exploitation on native people and their land in Amitav Ghosh' The Living Mountain (2022 . The analysis concentrates on the consequences of colonialism on Indigenous communities and environment highlighting the aftereffects of colonialism and human greed. It unveils the shift of traditional culture, local disputes and the realization of the harmful impact of exploitation. The inference highlights prioritizing the well-being of the ecosystem over their own well-being.
